Welcome to Next-Gen FI, a spot for me to document my FI journey, successes, and failures to look back upon as well share with the generations to come.
The start of my journey came from a curiosity and lack of knowledge within the financial literacy world. After 21 years of not understanding the nuances of a 401k things had to change and quickly. I went from finishing 1 book every 10 years to devouring 1 a month. It came a time where I felt like the next-generation learning from those who’ve passed down their knowledge through books, blogs, and forums. That’s how half of the Next-Gen FI name came to fruition.
The other half of Next-Gen FI came from recognizing the lack of financial literacy within the generations to come. It’s wild how much our fundamental education doesn’t teach us anything about finances …ZERO… I made it a stretch goal to find a medium in which I can educate the younger generation more about finances. It’s a stretch as I need to focus on my financial education and journey first.
What about me? I’m a 22 year old male working in the Game Tech world. I can’t tell you too much about myself though since this is an anonymous blog, but you’ll be surprised how much you’ll find out about me throughout my blog. I’ll post consistent updates on my financial standings and monthly challenges that push me to invest in myself.
