What’s up and Welcome to my blog!
I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and checkout Next-Gen FI. This blog is a space where I can document my financial independence journey. Sharing all of my successes, failures, and hardships to also look back upon. I’m hoping in the process I’ll also inspire those around me and the next generation to strive for financial freedom.
The idea of blogging is a little new to me and a bit daunting. When searching online “How to blog” the first few results are “How to make $10000 blogging” or “Is blogging still a profitable hustle?”. I like the idea of making money off my blog, but this is not why I started Next-Gen FI.
This blog is a central place where I can keep all of my experiences throughout fi to share and recollect. In the process, I’m not only investing in my financial wealth but also my personal wealth. Whether it’s improving my communication skills by posting articles or a variety of other skills by doing monthly challenges. I find that it’s important to consistently improve yourself and I’ve been told it’s also important to document it as well.
Wait a second, what about me? Well… There’s not much I can tell you about myself. I guess I can, but this is an anonymous blog where my identity will be kept confidential. I can tell you this though…
I’m a 22-year-old African American/Jamaican male working in the gaming software industry. The nice part of keeping my identity confidential I can be transparent about my financial status. You’ll learn a lot about me through my finances and maybe more throughout my posts.
